A review of The Blacksmiths Arms by Bates's Clan written on Sunday 20th of January 2013
We have visited this pub on many occasions and each one you feel very welcome. The owners and staff are pleasant, nothing is too much trouble. I cannot fault the home cooked meals. They accommodate my unusual food choices with a willingness to 'swop and change' any item I should wish to change. I can honestly say I have not had one bad meal here.. The Sunday cavery is excellent it is hot, with a good variety of veg, potatoes, meat, etc., We were recommended by our son in 2010 and have visited regularly since. They treat us as part of their family and even on our first visit there, we were made to feel comfortable and at ease.. We had Christmas lunch last year and it was fabulous, (not at all expensive.)We shall be booking again this year without a doubt. Our families visit also with their children and again are made to feel very welcome. Just a WONDERFUL place to go..
